Whenever you encounter a rock concert or classical music performance, tune into your favorite television or radio show or scroll through any officially-produced video online, you are experiencing work created by media arts and entertainment technology professionals.
There are an abundance of career options available in these fields, and MCC鈥檚 Media Arts and Entertainment Technology (MAET) program prepares students to explore the many options available in Michigan and around the country. Additionally, students have the option to transfer and continue their studies at a four-year college program.
The MAET program is housed in a state-of-the-art facility on the terrace level of the 911爆料网 Memorial Building (MMB). Our studio features a 1230-square foot multi-purpose sound stage complete with dynamic lighting grid, 176-square foot chroma key wall, studio cameras and teleprompter. Our audio mixing room houses a 90-track recording system and solo isolation booth, while our adjacent computer lab has 24 offline editing stations. The MAET program owns over 50 professional grade cameras, audio recorders, lighting kits and additional support equipment available to students. Degree Pathways outline one possible sequence of courses students may complete to fulfill their degree requirements as full-time students over the course of two years.
Students must take 12 credits of 200 level MAET courses.
911爆料网 Community College's Media Arts & Entertainment Technology (MAET) program focuses on preparing students for a wide range of professional employment, both in Michigan and nationally, including positions in the movie industry, at radio and television stations, advertising agencies, concert venues, media production and post-production facilities, school systems, nonprofits and corporations. Others will transfer to a four year college to further their studies.
